This international business creates hand-made, personalized gifts created from quality fabrics with an eclectic mix of whimsical patterns. The Polka Dots & Pearls brand is all about quality, originality, color, and whimsy. They wanted to give the business a fresh face by updating their existing branding.
mood board
With this mood board I tried to capture a crafty, family friendly, theme. At the client's request, I included lots of bright, fully saturated colors and tried to stay away from cliche sewing imagery.

I sent 4 rough concepts for PDP to look over. They chose their favorite and we went on to develop that into their shiny, new logo!
logo design
After a lot of agonizing over colors, we landed on this fun and bright color palette and font selection. The client wanted some classic fabric patterns represented within this design, so I delivered some original patterns tailor-made just for Polka Dots & Pearls.
variations
These variations on the main logo design are meant to provide some versatility to the brand. Depending on the context, some versions may work better than others. Polka Dots has the flexibility to pick and choose which setting deserves which version of their branding.
tags & packaging
As part of my branding package, Polka Dots and Pearls also requested designs for their packaging. Fabric magnets and needle minders can be affixed to card-stock printed with on-brand designs, giving customers the experience they are accustomed to.
