life
I am a graphic designer and illustrator born and raised in Asheville, North Carolina. After meeting and marrying my husband, he made the wild decision to join the United States Air Force. This led us down a path of adventure the likes of which we never imagined. We have been lucky enough to get some amazing assignments and have spent the last 10 years living in Europe. This has given me the distinctive opportunity to see and experience art and design in ways I never imagined possible. My exposure to all the beautiful architecture, museums, music, video, theater, landmarks, landscapes, and cultures has given me a unique perspective regarding design. I use this world-view to shape my approach to design and illustration. I am inspired by the amazing culture, art, and history I've been so privileged to witness first-hand. I try to bring a bit of that to all my work. It's given me a valuable perspective that not many people are fortunate enough to enjoy.
education
I completed my Associates of Applied Science in Graphic Design and Multimedia in 2009. I graduated the program Summa Cum Laude. My work was featured on the official school website and I received the honor of being nominated for several awards.

I completed my Bachelors in Graphic Design at Southern New Hampshire University in May of 2022. I graduated with a 4.0 GPA, Summa Cum Laude.
experience
I've been working as a professional graphic designer since 2009 when I completed my associates degree. I worked for two small, local businesses as lead designer before moving overseas. Since then, I've worked both as a freelancer and as a government employed designer serving the military community.
At Ramstein Air Base in Germany, I worked as a designer at their on-base print shop, Pops. While employed there I gained valuable insight into the print production side of design. The job was extremely demanding and required me to be organized, deadline-oriented, and creative. I worked on several big base events and created a variety of marketing materials for my squadron and customers.
My most recent position was at the 48 FSS Marketing Department on RAF Lakenheath in England. While employed for this organization I was the lead designer and writer for their magazine, At Ease. I oversaw a complete transformation of this publication. Under my design direction, we took it from a basic book of ads for our FSS facilities to a valuable community resource that builds and strengthens connections while offering marketing for all FSS activities. We strove to connect all facets of our marketing through social media, print, digital, and video advertising using the At Ease magazine as a starting point each month.

I developed artwork that served as the foundation for a brand awareness campaign which culminated in a MilMark award for our department and lead to an increase of over 500 followers on our social media and an increase of 74% in traffic to our website, despite an expected drop in traffic due to seasonal fluctuations. I participated in staging, direction, and acting in our primary videos associated with the campaign.
