over the moon

Over The Moon is an up-and-coming, event planning business located in Maine. The owner approached me because she wanted to come up with a comprehensive branding scheme and logo design she could use to launch her business and connect with her audience.

"Kelley was absolutely epic! My logo is so beautiful and perfectly captures my brand and mission.  Not only did she explain how the process would go and what to expect, but she was so thorough and meticulous with every step of the process. She even helped me have a clearer vision for what I was hoping to accomplish with my business. I cannot express enough how amazing of a job she did on my logo. It came out exactly what I envisioned it to be and more."

mood board

After talking to Over the Moon about their brand identity and their goals for their business, I created this mood board to capture a bit of the fun and whimsy I felt was representative of their brand. After getting feedback on my choices and establishing I was on the right track, I started working on concepts for their logo design.

I was feeling the love for this brand, so after a bit of rough sketching, I got right down to work in Illustrator and delivered 5 concepts for her to choose from. These four were the concepts that didn't quite make the cut. Each design was meant to communicate fun, excitement, inclusivity, and diversity.

After settling on a final concept, Over the Moon and I worked together to finalize her logo into exactly what she was looking for.

variations

These variations on the main logo design are meant to provide some versatility to the brand. Depending on the context, some versions may work better than others. Over the Moon has the flexibility to pick and choose which setting deserves which version of their branding.
