This blog section is intended to focus on travel and photography, two of my favorite subjects! Unfortunately, this COVID-19 pandemic has all but halted our travel. Very sad about that, but we're doing what is necessary to help stop the spread! I have been able to get out and take some photos since all this began, but traveling in Germany is very restricted right now. We have to wear medical-grade masks, and if our infection rate is above 200 per 100k people we cannot travel farther than 15km from our homes. So, what do I post about? Hmmm... Well, my family is getting ready to PCS (permanent change of station for all you non-military folks) to...

drumroll please...

England!!

Big Ben towers over Westminster Bridge and the River Thames.
We'll be an hour from LONDON BABY!

We are so very excited and blessed to be able to spend even more time here in Europe! We've been here a total of 7 years so far, and all of that has been spent in Germany. My daughter, Eden, has grown up in Europe and will now graduate high school here. So, I am thinking about doing a series of blog posts about Americans living in Europe, with a light focus on teenagers, and also provide some insights into what a military PCS is really like - think utter chaos and complete frustration coupled with no furniture and living out of suitcases with a teenager and two dogs. And now lets throw a global pandemic on top! Yikes! It should be lots of... fun? And well, misery loves company so sharing our ups and downs with everyone might be comforting?

Right now we are playing the waiting game. We are scheduled to move April 8. My husband, Matt, is trying to schedule all our appointments, but right now he's still waiting on orders, so that makes it more difficult to get anything done. We have to get our dogs pet passports so they can travel into the UK from the EU. We have to book lodging for ourselves both here and once we arrive at our new station. We have to hire cleaners to make sure our house passes inspection before we move out. We have to book movers to come and pack and take all our household goods. We have to make sure our cars are out-processed and get temp tags to drive to the UK.

Stay tuned for updates! I plan to do a new post once a week!
