These typographical posters use type to convey certain characteristics portrayed by the characters they embody in each piece.

Typography, line, shape, and color played the most important roles in the creation of these posters. The typefaces and color palettes relate to the themes of the individual characters. The whimsical, cursive font I chose to represent Juliet as well as the pink and rose color palette reflect my portrayal of youth, innocence, naiveté, romance, and love. Sweeping ascenders and flourishes express Juliet's femininity, while the hand-drawn quality of Romeo's font represents the boyish mischief Romeo is known for. His color palette is darker with bold blues and washed out burgundy shades representing the conflict and violence that fate has in store for him. Line played an important role in defining shapes and accentuating important areas of these portraits.
These prints were designed in Adobe Illustrator and are adaptable to either CMYK or RGB color modes. Resolution can be adjusted for print or digital sharing.
