This logo was designed to represent a series of books based on the same character. The book in this project represents the first in a series of children's books.

The logo design uses typography and simple graphics to communicate a theme to audience members. Fun and innocence are conveyed through the use of graphics to depict the "e" in "Arnie" being carried away by a group of ants. The bottom of the "i" letterform reminded me of an anteater's tongue, prompting me to apply a pink hue.
The simple font conveys innocence and youth.

brand mark
To establish a consistent visual identity for this brand, I chose to focus on the ant component of the title. This image can be used for social media sites, merchandise, and marketing.

The full logo design will be displayed in the top corner of all Arnie the Anteater books and provides a consistent brand image for the audience. The logo ensures the Arnie brand is being represented by the book.

book cover design
The first book in the series is about Arnie's first day at a brand new school. The cover shows the main character, Arnie, standing alone in front of a looming school building.

Arnie being alone and appearing small in comparison to the school is meant to convey the overwhelming nature of a child's first day at a new school.

Inspiration for this series came from our experience as a military family and the many issues this presents to a military child.
